Overview

A native Android app, built and shipped, for high-frequency aggregation and thematic analysis of global tech news. It features a local caching engine for user-curated sources, optimized real-time feed processing, and a custom high-performance home-screen widget for asynchronous background telemetry.

Problem

Mobile tech-news widgets are either heavy or non-customizable; an efficient, source-curated background solution is missing.

Approach

I wrote a native widget and caching layer in Flutter, used Gemini AI for thematic analysis and summaries, and made background updates asynchronous and battery-friendly.
